RONALDO HAS THE WORD: LEWANDOWSKI THRONE ALSO IN PLAY WITH SWITZERLAND

Cristiano Ronaldo has scored 15 goals in just eight FIFA World Cup qualifiers. Lewandowski scored on Sunday and is now 16

Spared in the first half, Cristiano Ronaldo entered the start of the second to decide the game in Andorra. In the end, he heard the praise from teammates who spoke to the journalists (and Fernando Santos), but also added a few more impressive records to add to a more and more full resume. For example, Ronaldo became the fourth player in history with more goals scored by a team - they are already 79! - with only one of Kunishige Kamamoto of Japan (80 goals in 84 games in the 60s and 70s) and five of Hungarian Ferenc Puskás (84 goals in 85 games in the 40s and 50s). Far, for now, only the Iranian Ali Daei, with 109 goals in 149 matches.

But the captain of the National Team left Andorra with more records in his pocket: yesterday, he made the 50th goal in the qualifying stages (World Cup or European), in what is already the best record for a European player; then he even equaled Polish Lewandowski in the list of best scorers in this qualifying round with 15 goals. At this point the Polish striker scored a 4-2 victory over Montenegro on Sunday and went on to score 16. It is the highest ever seen in a European qualifying round for a World Cup and that Ronaldo will try to overcome, or at least match, against Switzerland on Tuesday.
