Luis Suarez rips Barcelona shirt

Barcelona threw behind closed doors against La Palmas amid strained scenes outside the stadium and in the city. Spanish police clashed with the people on the streets while trying to present a vote in the referendum in Catalonia, considered illegal by the Spanish authorities. Suarez and his teammates played their game in an empty stadium in protest and amid concerns about the safety of fans.

The Uruguayan saw a card in the 51st minute for diving. Suarez missed a good opportunity to increase the lead and became angry with himself, as he left the pitch and headed into the locker room. But not before he ripped his shirt off, leaving the field with his shirt almost torn in half.
