Cesc Fabregas devalued Chelsea's defeat in the Premier League with Manchester City

Antonio Conte's side are six points adrift of the leader after seven games after a 1-0 defeat on Saturday.
Chelsea midfielder Fabregas pointed to the near-victory at Atletico Madrid - compared to the city's home win over Shakhtar Donetsk a day earlier - before reminding his Premier League rivals that the Blues were further back in that time last season when they claimed the title.

Fabregas told chelseafc.com: "This was undoubtedly the same Chelsea as last season, but what happened was that we went against a city that came into the game much better rested than us.
"This time last year we were eight points behind, but that did not mean a thing. There is still a long way to go in all competitions.
