Atletico Madrid need to stop depending on Antoine Griezmann - says Diego Simeone

The Atletico Madrid coach wants his side to take more responsibility to score, instead of relying on Griezmann to dig out of the hole. Griezmann, who is believed to be on his way to Manchester United, failed to do anything to stop a disappointing weekend in more frustration when Atletico went blank on Saturday. The draw follows a 2-1 defeat with Chelsea in the Champions League, a game in which Griezmann put his team ahead, and Simeone is worried about the Frenchman's talent that is causing the rest of the team to loosen up.

"He is a player who gave us bad habits because he is the player who always solves the offensive problems of the team," said Simeone. "When he scores goals, the team has a good chance of winning, but when he does not score it is obviously harder." I think the other strikers and the rest of the team can help him get closer to the goal.
"We have to share this responsibility, which is not Griezmann's sole responsibility." Griezmann's brilliance has become one of football's biggest stars with United, one of several sides strongly attached to the striker in the summer.
