Ashley Young says Mourinho has created rivalry between Antony Martial and Marcus Rashford
Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford have been impressive for Manchester United so far during the current campaign, scoring 10 goals despite sharing time between them in the left wing.
The two young players found their main form for United, unlike last season where there was a lot of inconsistency and this improvement in performances can be attributed to the healthy competition manager, José Mourinho, promoted between the two strikers.
Mourinho's manager impressed Ashley Young and now went on to credit the manager by creating a competitive environment within the team that contributed directly to the success of the starting season for Manchester United.
"It's a team game and everyone wants to play well and they want to be in the team. Everybody is fighting for places and it's healthy if you have 20 more players, wanting to enter that initial XI.
"You see the way our training is - it's fast, there's aggression there, everyone wants to win, everyone has a winning mentality. You take it to the games and we show that season with our results."
There seems to be no undisputed starters in United, each player needs to work hard to earn his place in the starting lineup.
