ROONEY COMPLETES SENTENCE PAINTING GARDEN BENCHES

Player was sentenced to 100 hours of community work


Wayne Rooney began serving the penalty of 100 hours of community work after being caught driving with blood alcohol. On the first day, the Everton player showed up at a recovery center to paint garden benches, a few miles from home in Cheshire.

The player, remember, was caught driving a car of a woman with whom he would go home in the early morning of September 1, after spending part of the night in a bar, while the woman, Coleen was vacationing in Spain. Rooney was detained for a few hours and went to court a few days later, in which he pleaded guilty and apologized for the acts.

In addition to the 100 hours of community work, Rooney is still unable to drive
